Overview

The Access Grid team at Argonne National Laboratory develops and releases the AG2 toolkit .

Versions for FreeBSD5 are available below.

Method 

Download the installation bundle and prerequisites listed above.

As root,
- install the prerequisite packages (if not previously installed), namely:
lang/python
x11-toolkits/wxmozilla
databases/py-bsddb
databases/py-bsddb3
I also installed:
x11/gnome2-lite
x11/gdm2
therefore menus work for Gnome2 desktop (since thats what I've been using)

- unpack the installation bundle e.g.
tar zxvf AccessGrid-2.4-FreeBSD54-1.tar.tz
- cd into the directory created when the bundle was unpacked and run the installation script:
./install.sh
which installs globus-data-management-client package (a small subset of the Globus Toolkit) as well as the AccessGrid-2.3-Snapshot package.
- log out (to reset the menus. Also, you don't want to run the toolkit as root)
 
As normal user,
- run the VenueClient (available in the main "Applications->Access Grid" menu)
